Subfossil chironomid (Diptera: Chironomidae) surface sediment sample dataset from Taro Co, Tibet

In total 57 surface sediment samples from the western Central Tibetan lake Taro Co have been analyzed on their subfossil chironomid larvae head capsules. The chironomid assemblages are devided in three zones () along the water depth gradient.
