RECAP GICC05modelext Time Scale (version 1/3-2018)

Section from -0.013 to 4.048 ka b2k:

This part of the timescale has been produced using the StratiCounter software (Winstrup et al, 2012), extended to a multi-parameter approach (Winstrup, 2016). The uppermost 10.9 m is manually counted. The timescale is tied to fit several GICC05-based age markers, as provided in the corresponding dataset doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.906109. This part of the time scale is created using linear interpolation between age markers, as provided in the corresponding sheet. Note that the deepest three age markers are extimated from gas-correlation between NGRIP and RECAP CH4 and O18 air measurements.
