Elemental composition of volcanic glass shards of sediment core DP30PC section 8, Gulf of Taranto

Volcanic glass shards have been selected from core DP30PC section 8, collected in the southeast Gulf of Taranto to establish a robust tephra chronology. In the core 4 Cryptotephras are observed. Selected glass shards from these Tephras contain elemental signals typical for Lipari outbreaks as well as of the Somma-Vesuvius.
