All Calculated Parameters
Data containing all parameters calculated and used in Figures 4,5,6 and 11 in Villanueva et al 2023.
M0, M1 and M2 contain the same data as DATA, separated by mat configuration
DATA: Hr -> Wave height ratio to position 1 (leading edge of canopy) uc -> steady flow component of measured orbital velocity uw -> wave velocity rms (suffix) -> root mean square min -> minimum max -> maximum a1M0 (suffix) -> alternative calculation based on value measured for the control experiments (no vegetation) at ADV1 ratio (suffix) -> ratio of max and min (absolute value) om -> circular frequency omega A0 -> wave orbital velocity amplitude A1 (suffix) -> ratio to leading edge value (ADV1) of same measurement alpha -> flow attenuation parameter. The 2 subsequent digits indicate the positions for the ratio caluclatio. e.g. 13 = ratio between values measured at postions 1 and 3 red -> velocity reduction in percent [%]. positive indicates velocitiy increase. The 2 subsequent digits indicate the positions for the velocity change. e.g. 13 = ratio between values measured at postions 1 and 3 A_S_ratio -> A0/S where S is the stem separation l_eff -> effecive length (see Villanueva et al. 2022) r -> ratio m (suffix) -> mean e (suffix) -> error KC -> Keulegan-Carpenter Number Re -> Reynolds Number Re_bv -> stem-based Re C_D -> Drag Coefficient Beta -> damping coefficient for C_D and Beta, the suffixes are as follows: flat -> fixed value C_D_villa -> value calculated by Villanueva et al. 2022 losa -> value calculated following Losada et al. 2016 dalr -> following Dalrymple et al. 1984 Lei -> value after Lei and Nepf 2019b L -> Wavelength
