Field 1: euipo_owner_code EUIPO owner ID (key);
Field 2:country xx, Eurostat country code;
Field 3:postcode variable character, formatted zip codes, some missing values;
Field 4:NUTS NUTS3 Eurostat version 2016, some missing values;
Field 5:ESS_key unique company identifier, some missing values;
Field 6:size micro, small, medium or large (Eurostat definition);
ESS_key: This is a unique company identifier used by the Chief Economist Service of the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights (EUIPO) in its studies in order to match firms from different databases or within each of them identify several records belonging to the same firm. It has not been possible to assign an ESS_key to all companies because the information about them was limited or ambiguous, therefore not all firm have one.
