Geochemical ratios from seven Western Mediterranean records over the last 20 ka

The dataset compiles geochemical ratios from seven marine sediment cores recovered in the western Mediterranean basin. TTR12-292G, TTR-293G, TTR14-300G, TTR14-302G, TTR14-304G, TTR14-434G were recovered in the Alboran Sea using a gravity corer. ODP Leg161 Site 975 was drilled in the Algero-Balearic basin. Major elements were obtained using a Wavelength Dispersive Spectrometry (WDXRF) Bruker AXS Pioneer S4; minor and trace were measured using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) Perkin Elmer Sciex Elan 5000; and core 975B was also analyzed using a XRF core scanner AVAATECH Serial No. 2. In addition, Total Organic Carbon (TOC) was measured in cores 293G and 300G. The sediments cores cover the last 13.2 cal ka BP, the shortest record, and the last 22.5 cal ka BP the largest one.
