Turbidity data measured during CTD casts during RV SONNE cruise SO268/2, CCZ, NE Pacific Ocean

Expedition SO268 was part of the JPI Oceans project MiningImpact to assess the environmental impacts of deep sea mining of polymetallic nodules in the Clarion Clipperton Zone (CCZ). To study an eddy that was on its way to our working area, the CTD-Rosette was additionally equipped with optical backscatter sensors and acoustic profilers. Most of the CTD casts (n = 8) have been performed to study the eddy. This dataset contains calibrated optical sensor measurements acquired during 10 separate CTD casts, using a total of 14 different optical backscatter sensors (OBS).
