Plio-Pleistocene planktic foraminifera oxygen and carbon stable isotopes at eastern equatorial Pacific IODP Site 321-U1338
Stable carbon and oxygen isotope data from two species of planktic foraminifera (Trilobatus sacculifer and Neogloboquadrina dutertrei) are obtained for eastern equatorial Pacific (EEP) Ocean Drilling Program Site 138-846 and Integrated Ocean Drilling Program Site 321-U1338. Newly acquired stable isotope data were generated at Brown University according to sample preparation and analytical methods described in Clemens et al. (2023, doi:10.1016/j.epsl.2023.118101). The isotope data are sampled at 3-kyr resolution and span four time intervals in the Plio-Pleistocene: a Pliocene interval (3.22-3.46 Ma), a Plio-Pleistocene interval (2.50-2.78 Ma), a mid-Pleistocene interval (1.50-1.72 Ma), and a Late Pleistocene interval (420-630 ka). Zonal and vertical gradients in carbon and oxygen stable isotopes can be tracked over the four time intervals listed above.
