Sediment cores MD19-3575CQ, MD19-3580, COR-1PC, PS2606-6 - subsurface, surface temperature (full resolution and resampled), and DeltaT records

We present five new records in four sediment cores of the Indian sector of the Southern Ocean. Radiolarian based subsurface temperatures (subST) were reconstructed using SORAD as a training dataset (Lawler et al., 2021; Civel-Mazens et al., 2023) with the Imbrie and Kipp Method applied to log transformed data. Diatom based sea surface temperatures (SST) were predicted using a dataset containing 249 samples as per Crosta et al. (2020) and applying the Modern Analog Technique to relative abundances of 33 diatom taxa. The SST records of cores DCR-1PC (Crosta et al., 2020) and MD19-3580 (this study) and the subST records of cores MD19-3575CQ and MD19-3580 (this study) were resampled at a 3kyrs interval to substract subST to SST at the two core sites (DCR-1PC/MD19-3575CQ and MD19-3580). This allowed to reconstruct the evolution of the delta of temperature (deltaT) between surface and subsurface. We here include the resampled and deltaT records.
