Continuous acoustic monitoring of methane bubble plumes at the Einstein's Grotto vent at Southern Hydrate Ridge over 24h, 14-15 November 2019

This dataset contains a video file that shows the temporal and spatial variability of distinct bubble plumes at the Einstein's Grotto vent, Southern Hydrate Ridge. The bubble plumes were monitored with a single-beam 360° scanning-sonar (QNTSRA101) connected to the underwater cabled observatory of the Ocean Observatories Initiative. The sonar operated continuously for approximately 24 h from 2019-11-14 13:15 until 2019-11-15 13:19 UTC. Latitude: 44.569941 Longitude: -125.146880 Elevation: -775.8 m Method: Scanning-Sonar connected to the OOI underwater cabled observatory (instrument name given by OOI: QNTSRA101). Location: Southern Hydrate Ridge summit
