Organic geochemistry, XRF analysis and foraminiferal geochemistry of Sediment Core M125-35-3

This dataset provides deglacial climatic records (~3-19 ka) based on organic geochemistry, XRF-derived elemental bulk analysis and foraminiferal geochemistry on marine sediment core M125-35-3. Gravity Core M125-35 is located on the Brazilian Margin off southeastern Brazil in the western tropical South Atlantic and was retrieved during research cruise M125 (RV METEOR) in 2016 The dataset comprises mass accumulation rates (MAR) of branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers (brGDGT) and the specific isoprenoidal GDGT from marine Thaumarcharchaeota crenarchaeol. Additionally, the BIT index of Core M125-35-3 was calculated from GDGTs. Further, this dataset contains MARs from biogenic lipid components alkenones and n-alkanes and the carbon preference index (CPI). XRF derfived data comprise Elemental ratios of K/Al and Si/Al and calculated MARs of Al, Ti, Fe, K and Ca and foraminiferal derived stable δ13C measurements were performed on the tropical species G. ruber (p).
