Sediment echosounder raw data (Atlas Parasound P70 echosounder working area dataset) of RV METEOR cruise M74/4, Maldivian carbonate platform

Parasound profiles are acquired witth the hull mounted echosounder device P70 (Atlas Elektronik GmbH), witch uses the parametric effect in which a secondary low-frequency signal is generated from the emission of two high-frequency primary signals. The simultaneously emitted frequencies were 18 kHz and 22 kHz, which constructively interfere resulting in a narrow beam cone of 4°.
