Sediment echosounder raw data (Atlas Parasound P70 echosounder working area dataset) of RV SONNE cruise SO236, Maldivian carbonate platform

Parasound profiles are acquired witth the hull mounted echosounder device P70 (Atlas Elektronik GmbH), witch uses the parametric effect in which a secondary low-frequency signal is generated from the emission of two high-frequency primary signals. The simultaneously emitted frequencies were 18 kHz and 22 kHz, which constructively interfere resulting in a narrow beam cone of 4°.
