Automated Thalamic Nuclei Segmentation Using Multi-Planar Cascaded Convolutional Neural Networks

A cascaded multi-planar scheme with a modified residual U-Net architecture was used to segment thalamic nuclei on conventional and white-matter-nulled (WMn) magnetization prepared rapid gradient echo (MPRAGE) data.
