EMR Variables

A patient’s EMR contains comprehensive records of their vital signs, laboratory test results, medications and interventions. Many of these variables may be unrelated to a particular outcome of interest, and in this sense, may be considered extraneous features or noise for the purposes of modeling that outcome.
