Synthetic data

Synthetic data generated by following the similar setup as in [9], [29]. The data samples {x, y} on local node i are generated according to the model y = argmax(softmax(wx + b)), x ∈ R60, w ∈ R10×60, b ∈ R10. We set w, b ∼ N(0, 1). For the data on i.i.d. nodes, x follows the same distribution N(0, Σ), where Σ is diagonal with Σr, r = r−1.2. For the data samples on non-i.i.d. node i, x ∼ N(oi, Σ), each element in the mean vector oi is drawn from N(0, 1), oi ∼ N(0, χ).
